Thin and Comfortable with Better Sound Quality! FiiO's Newly-Developed Ear Tip HS18 Is Available Now!

I suggest offering the eartips in packs of individual sizes: Small OR Medium OR Large.

Only one size is going to fit correctly. That leaves 4 pairs out of the 6 that are useless unless someone is truly in between sizes.

It's fine if FiiO wants to sell the S-M-L pack as a sampler for buyers who are unsure what they'll need. But I know I need Large -- why should I bother with 4 pairs of extra tips?
That's not necessarily true. I have ears that generally need different sizes (one more small/medium, the other medium/large), and know there are more out there.

For the people that got this, I read that it had good isolation.... Does it also NOT leak sound easily?

My came yesterday from Aliexpress, the tip is thinner than my Spinfit W1, using Fiio Fh9 IEM's and found I did get a good seal with the HS18's. The sound stage felt a bit more narrow compared to the W1's, but were OK. Overall I'll keep the W1's on my FH9's.
To be fair the SpinFit W1 is an exceptional IEM tip, works extremely well with the FiiO FD7 :relaxed:

How do these sound with the FD7?
Dear friend,

The HS18 contributes to that goal by adopting a design in which the ear tip’s sound nozzle is the same size as the earphone’s sound tube. Such a design minimizes sound barriers between the earphone and the eardrum, as well as undesirable resonances generated by the ear tip’s nozzle. The result is that fewer anomalies and more of the earphone’s originally intended sound actually reach the listener’s ears.
And due to individual preferences, you could read the professional reviews and comparisons, as well as try out by yourself.

Bes regards

Finally got these yesterday, the HS18 tips work very well with my Dunu Zen Pro. I think the bass is tighter than the Penon tips I was using, and the fit and comfort is excellent. I want to also compare these to the new Spinfit tips when I get them.

The only problem is that the diameter, length, contour and flexibility all vary. So best fitting size may differ from your usual tip type and between different IEMs. That makes buying SML a good idea initially (later on, packs of the same size is essential). Having spare tips in other sizes isn't a bad idea, unless all your friends and family take the same size.:L3000:

Funny, I usually use the Spinfit large size too but for the life of me I couldn't get a good seal with the HS18 sadly, maybe it's just me lol. I don't find the medical grade silicon itchy but the food grade silicon on the CP145 gets a bit itchy after a few hours 🙂
As I recall the Spinfit CP100 is still food grade but the newer CP100+ is medical grade silicon. :L3000:

Well, got the HS18 for my FD7. It sounds more open than the balanced tips, but it is so very difficult to get a good seal. The silicon is simply too soft, and it keeps collapsing as I insert the IEM into my ears. Even with a seal, I think the bass is a bit lighter than my other tips.

They make the FD7 thinner sounding and bass light.

Okay, so maybe useful for anything that already has good fit and doesn't need help from tips to stay in place. But only if you don't mind a bass cut and want thin sound. And I have some on the way. Hooray...:triportsad:

I think that they are very good for opening up and adding extra definition in a dark sounding earphone.
