The Excalibur looks to be a very dynamic sounding IEM.

These look different enough to be quite complementary.

These look like an amazingly complementary pair to have.

In looking at and comparing all 4 graphs from a single source, if one eventually wants to get at least 2 of these TA Singature IEMs, the Monarch seems to be the one to get, then the second would depend on one’s individual tastes. Just my 2c.

This is the single best post on this entire thread for understanding the differences between the 4 Thieaudio tribrids. Thanks for posting it. It really does show how similar the Clairvoyance and Oracle are and how different Monarch is from everything else.

Has anyone A/Bed between the Andro 2020 and the Monarch, in terms of technical performance...

I think I can help. It’s hard to say because they’re going for very different presentations. In Monarch’s favor:
  • Monarch wins for bass no question.
  • Monarch has the advantage of perceived clarity due to its upper-midrange emphasis contrasted to the lean lower-midrange.
  • Monarch has more lower-treble energy which will make percussive hits sound more defined.
For more more latent intangibles, though, I think the Andro 2020 handily wins. Something that might not be readily apparent is that the Monarch’s detail retrieval is actually not that great. Its tuning is quite “segmented” which makes it sound clean and upfront on first listen.

But notes actually decay more cleanly on the Andro 2020; it’s a good deal more coherent. Andro 2020 also extends further in the treble, whereas the Monarch has an audible roll-off. Imaging also goes the way of the Andro 2020. I felt that the Monarch could sort of squeeze instruments on more complex tracks; the Andro 2020 doesn’t suffer from this and actually has some soundstage depth/height, whereas the Monarch’s staging is predicated on solely width.

Of course, this is just my take. I know there are some that will hold that the Monarch is more technical, and while it doesn’t work like that for me, it’s still a pretty darn technical IEM for the price point.

I hope you get a chance to audition the Clair, Oracle, and Excalibur soon.

Oh, I finally got the Clair btw! I'll try and drop some impressions today or tomorrow. Resolve has the Oracle and Excalibur right now. Probably gonna be some time before those make their way to me unfortunately.

The 5K peak on the Excalibur looks a little worrisome as I am sensitive around there, so I went fir the Oracle... anyway I hope those who get the Excalibur enjoy it tremendously!

I'm still gonna say you're wrong, and hope that I made the right choice with Oracle..!!
Why? Just because the Excalibur looks tempting, and is probably excellent, doesn‘t take anything away from the Oracle? That logic doesn’t make sense to me.

I personally think all 4 tunings look excellent in their own ways. I find the tuning of the Monarch, Oracle and Excalibur potentially very appealing, but I’m absolutely thrilled that I got the Clairvoyance. Different flavors for different tastes.

Yeah, for better or worse, the Excalibur looks like it has a lot of treble quantity and crazy treble extension. Fortunately, it is offset by the bass quantity and mid bass warmth. It still may be too much for some people though. I can’t wait for more reviews and impressions. It looks like it could be a very detailed sounding IEM.

Because I only want to spend money on one of these, and it had to be the best one! Whew, so glad I made the right choice.

I'm very excited to see more reviews on the Excalibur. I think for my taste the Oracle could have to much reduced (sub)bass.

Description from linsoul:
Oracle:
The Oracle was designed with professional studio use in mind, and is tuned as proper monitors. The mid frequencies are ruler flat to bring about a neutral reproduction of instruments and vocals that is uncolored.
Excalibur:
In short, the tuning of the Excalibur can be described as “exciting”. Featuring powerful bass and crisp high’s, the Excalibur puts out an incredible sound that makes any genre sound its fullest and best. We recommend the Excalibur to those looking for a fun and enjoyable hifi listening experience.

Probably the Ex and Monarch are a nice combo? Ex for fun listening and Monarch for analytical.

I ordered all four but I plan on only keeping one as the winner

They'll all also be competing with the B2 Dusk on the low end, and the Empire Ears LX and Odin (when I can get my hands on one) on the high end. Should be very interesting...

Nice! Looking forward to your thoughts on these.

Definitely the way to do it... But I would have just got 2, and a MEST ;p Unless you already have one lol.
