May not be a bad idea if you are worried. But always keep in mind that those with problems with a product will always be more vocal than those without problems, so you may not get a good picture of quality by monitoring a thread like this.
True that negative publicity can sometimes outweigh positive in a forum like this, but there do seem to be significantly more QC-related problems reported in this thread than any other I follow on Head-Fi.

Not sure I could blind-buy Thieaudio at the moment, I'd rather spend a little more on something like UM MEST based on my very positive experience with the 3DT.

@kadinh and @Orfik I am certain you have good reasons to worry, and I am sure most on this thread will wish you well in your search for a great IEM! I for one, however, am enjoying my lone Thieaudio iem (L4), and really lookIng forward to receiving my Oracle.

No doubt that you see it that way, and it could well be true! But I have to say that I have spent a lot of time on forums following products that I already own and thoroughly enjoy, and I am amazed at the reports of QC issues on some of these products, while I have had almost always good experiences. I might be lucky :) but I continue to believe that reports of QC issues on a forum are certainly true, but the extent usually cannot be determined by those posts.

Same issue on my Clairvoyance, DD drivers are died after two months. Shipped to @Linsoul Audio, they returned and issue stills there. Very annoying situation.
Hello there.

Thank you for the feedback.

We received an e-mail from someone yesterday, and that person seems to be you, and we would like to address this here.

Regarding your case, the first time we shipped out your earphones, we had measured it before doing so.

When you contacted us about the issue, and shipped your earphones back to us for repair, we had measured it again before sending it back to you.

This applies to all other THIEAUDIO products. Only products that have passed Quality Control will be shipped out to our customers. We will only do so after checking.

However, you stated that the same problem persisted when you just received the earphones after repair.

If you really think that the earphones are defective, you may ship it back to us again. We will test and measure the earphones immediately, and send you the frequency response graph via e-mail.

Lastly, we would like to take this opportunity to point out that over time, we have encountered different customers with different issues.

Out of the cases received, some earphones were indeed faulty, and we have repaired them accordingly.

However, there have also been cases where no issues could be found after investigations and tests were conducted.

To anyone who is reading this message and has an issue with their products purchased from Linsoul Audio, you may reach out to us for support on our relevant platforms accordingly.

Thank you very much.

With Kind Regards,
Linsoul Team

I feel sorry for those failures, but I must say that Oracle are among the best IEM I have ever heard. I prefer them for rock/electronic/ambient while I prefer the MEST MKII for jazz (of course it's only for my ears, and YMMV). but yes I agree, failure rate and very long time for delivery can be worrying, and if someone doesn't feel comfortable with that I fully agree should look to something else. just my 2c.
changing topic a bit, what's the general consensus on the Oracle cable? I think it's the same as Monarch/Clair. is it worth investing in something else? I had a good (very good) experience with the Xinhs Graphene 8 cores (currently using on the MEST), what you guys think? could the Xinhs be a good cable for the Oracle?

Had same issue with Oracle - the DD was shot on one side. On 1 month old set. Felt like one of the sides was not sealing right but that was faulty driver.
Hello there.

Thank you for your feedback too. You have actually contacted us on Discord as well.

As stated in our conversation on Discord, your Oracle was purchased from a reviewer, and that nullified the warranty coverage.

Despite so, we did not charge you any repair fees, and even offered to arrange a two-way DHL shipping (co-covering the fees) since it might be too expensive or inconvenient for you to use your own courier.

Your Oracle has also been delivered to the factory, and it is currently being checked.

Should there really be an issue with the earphones, we will handle it accordingly.

Thank you.

With Kind Regards,
Linsoul Team

My Thieaudio came with a 2.5mm end. I believe that's balanced? The package also came with a 3.5mm adapter, which is single ended.

Is it safe to connect a 2.5mm balanced tip to a 3.5mm single ended adapter? Plugged these into my Hidizs S9 but wanted to make sure this was OK to do.

Yes, it is safe to go with balanced headphones and iems to unbalanced source using the adapter. Other way is big no-no.

I've got a used Oracle on the way. Excited. Hoping I don't have any QC issues, but the seller said he got them from the original owner with no issues. Also a little anxious about the fit, but Blessing2 was very comfortable for me, so I think there's hope.

All you can do is try the cable swap if you really want to. Personally, I think the cable is pretty good. The cable itself had some positive praise when the IEM's first started rolling out which has lead to it now being sold separately as well as the Thieaudio EST cable. Drop and Linsoul both sell it I think. I think it's sold for $69 with the adapters. That doesn't mean you shouldn't upgrade if you feel like it. I'm not a big believer in cable magic so I may be the wrong person to offer an opinion on the cable.

I just reveived the LSC08 cable. It sounds nice with the Monarch. Not sure if it s better than the EST cable though:thinking:
It feels like the LSC08 removed some hot treble compared to the EST cable

So far I've not had any problems with my Monarch or Excalibur (Touch wood). I've only had them a while though but I'm hoping that my experiences remain positive.
