My friend was using it, and he was comparing to astell kern sp2000. So I have no comment.

I have the Topping d90 mqa, and sound wise it is very close. So i believe your friend

Isn't the D90 a little cooler/neutral. I tried the SP2000, I didn't like it. There was a larger soundstage, a bit more separation on the SP2000.

I'm didn't heard the sp2000, but sound wise i heard it's very pure sounding and accurate with an amazing septation. That said, to me, sound wise the d90 is unbeatable. I don't need to hear other Dac to say that they can't be better sounding, because there is no better sounding. Of course that you can add futures that would make other devices more attractive, but when connected to the right gear, nothing can beat the d90 period! Maybe like The d10s with a v6 classic, with a good pre-amp and a tube preamp that demonstrates a complete different sound signature maybe than it can compete with the d90, but only because it's a all different animal. So, sure in the end it's a matter of taste, and when you look for an intimate sound signature than maybe, but that's it.

The stock DSDs Pro is very not clean. It still sounds better than many mid range DAPs and definitely worth a lot more than them (Fiio, Hiby, iBasso) The YinLvMei looks like an interesting buy, with some people comparing it to the Chord Hugo 2. But again they are all out of stock because they didn't stock up the AK4499 chips before the factory fire.

Look, the way I connect things to my opinion makes the difference. First of all I use some really good software to play music, connected to quality Pure sterling silver cables. I connect the d90 to my crossover, than to a zen can, than the zen to little dot mk3, and than to the little bear t10 with a holy grail 6922, than to m1570 headphones, or to my power amp Behringer KM750 to my jamo 8
I don't think that the digital technology can reproduce analog sound otherwise (yet)
