What did you mean by a little broken glass? Did you just break the window of the cars in the parking lots to get this? .

Caldera Closed received and working. I gotta say I am not crazy about the 6.5mm connector. It is not as smooth as the ones that I have when connecting it to my amps. Other than that all good. Nice match with the Holo Bliss amp as I was using that initially.

I do like the ZMF cases. They definitely make you feel the HPs are safe.

Just note that this cable in the demo tour (ZMF 2K copper, 1/4" terminated) is NOT the stock cable. It's actually a personal cable of mine that I donated for the tour (and hope to get back at the end of it). I just had the demo unit for a while before the tour started and originally told Zach not to send me any cables as I have my own so needed one for the tour and through mine in as a placeholder.

But feel free to use any mini-XLR cable that you have from your other headphones - they should fit!

SMALL NOTE: when I packaged everything this evening to ship, I realized I didn't have the current stock cable that comes with the Caldera Closed, so I'm including one of my own personal cables, a permium ZMF 2K Copper. Please enjoy and just return it to me with the same good care you will take of the rest of the pacakge. These headphones will work with any standard headphone-side termianted 4-pin mini XLR cable.

Speaking of which I’m in NYC next week for work and might have booked my hotel to be as close to Audio46 as possible to maximize my opportunities to sneak over and check out gear. Is there anyone I should especially thank for supporting the Watercooler Tour while I’m there?

Okay, okay… I’m having a hard time coping here. I’m on day two of listening to the DCA Noire X and I am finding these really agreeable to my ears. Was just texting my buddy that every time I’ve put them on my head, I am still expecting to be disappointed. Then I start listening I am having a hard time finding anything wrong with them.

Mostly used the Noire X on the Riviera so far, but also tried it on my DAP yesterday as I was doing things around the house and so far both have been good.

I’m surprised, genuinely!
