Ah, yes. One of my favorite companies when it comes to headphones. Their new line of headphones are cheap and way above average due for their price.

Now they've released a pair of headphones very similar to the Sennheiser PX200's.

The Philips SHL9500.
They even fold up rather close to the PX200's!
Sound

주파수대역 : 10-28.000 Hz
감도 : 105dB
임피던스 : 32 Ohm
최대전원 : 500mW
선길이 : 1.5M

Looking at the specs, I think these use similar drivers to the HP460's; if not the same.

The price is $35US or around that.
Hopefully, it'll be available online soon and I'll be able to grasp my hands around these and provide a nice review.

I also have the 460's and find them to sound surprisingly good.
I hope the new ones sound as good and are built less rickety/creeky. They look like they may be smaller as well, which would be nice too.

Hopefully, I'll be the first one to get them in this forum again. xD

I haven't seen any online stores which carry them yet so I'll be on the look out and once I have them, I'll do an extensive review of them vs HP460's vs PortaPro2.

Any update on these? I have the PX100 and am looking for something with a bit more isolation for the bus. I was looking at the HP460's but this post caught my eye..any word on the quality of these phones?

I have the PortaPro.. What's the difference with the PortaPro2?

PortaPro2's are cheaper, black and are not sold anymore. I know that the comfort adjust and slipcase are excluded but I can't comment on the sound from personal experience, though I think it's the same.

Indeed it is the same.

And guess what?
I ordered the SHL9500's already.

hulkster has PM'd me and ordered me to buy them.
I did what any HP460 fan would do: be forced to buy them on impulse.

No one else should buy them until I get them.

These look very interesting. If these have the same sound quality as the HP460 seem to, these could become a new FOTM. Or more likely a sleeper hit since Philips lacks the audiophile respect of Koss

Though these are pretty stylish

Damn these are cheap too... They're as low as $15 on Froogle and only $24.99 on amazon... just missing the free shipping

nsjong: I can't wait for your impressions, I'm anxious to know whether or not if these are too good to be true. These might make a good replacement for the vice grip K81DJs I used to have.

The HP460's already take care of that.

I think I will do a three way comparison actually.
K81DJ vs. HP460 vs. SHL9500.

That should REALLY spice up people's decisions on budget cans.

Well, seeing as this would be a can I'd use in public, I want something that looks good. K81DJs are pretty stylish looking (to me) whereas HP460s remind me of those '500W Stereo Mini Systems' and the plastickey/rickety/creeky comments also turn me off. The SHL9500 definately have style even if they are rickety. If they sound good, I could live with the rickety part, given the low price.

The HP460's actually look no worse than the V150's from sony.

IMO, they look better.
