The Sennheiser HE1 and how I came back after 16 years hiatus from Headfi (acquisition, unboxing, installation, and impressions over time)

I'm about to head off into a tangent but are there other wired, active amplification headphones?
Some of the higher-end ANC headphones (Focal Bathys, Noble FoKus Apollo, etc.) can run wired as an option. In terms of strictly wired headphones, I'm no expert, but a Google search yielded the SONY 1ADAC and Audio-Technica ATH-M50xSTS. There may be others, but I doubt any of them are Summit-Fi type cans.

Strictly speaking, the Harmon curve isn't an accuracy curve. It's a preference curve that deviates from accurate in a way that Harmon argues is empirically proven to be preferred to accurate for the majority of listeners.

This! 👆

+ if it were perfect, the people behind it wouldn’t be looking to improve on it, which they are.

Last, FR curve is a very useful, but limited, measurement that captures relatively tonality. And one may make educated guesses from it sometimes, but that is what they are (and where this tool is helpful). Thinkg like timbre, the actual harmonic resonances that comprise the essence of sound quality, aren’t seen in that graph. Among others attributes.

You truly never have any substance. Almost everything is emotional with you.
Before i leave this thread lol, (I'll make my own he1 thread 😆 )

This was uncalled for. We are in these forums to share, sometimes debate, and opine. There is no point in doing it without respecting others different viewpoints.
goodbye and farewell.

If owners, admit it, and say, yes, i love these unnatural, distortion headphones, than okay fine 👌 but its always the opposite claiming those are natural and accurate and have zero clue what harman curve is which is technically the HE1.
I loooooveeee these unnatural distortion headphones!! And I know nothing about what harman curve is. I only trust my ears, which I think would be very very bad ears since I love unnatural headphones.
