The Sennheiser HD280 or PX100... what sounds better?

I just thought I'd compare a highly regarded low-end headphone with a moderately criticized mid-end set.

Regardless of price and all, what actually sounds better?? the HD280 or the PX100??

I think that HD280 sounds better but i've only tried it for only 2 or 3 times, besides it's a closed model so it have an isolation to outside noise. and it's not that portable.

PX100 sounds great for a portable headphone, especially that i got it for 39.99 dollar.. Quite a good bargain.. But too much sound leak, not that good at some noisy places. But i highly reccomend it!

IMO HD280 sounds better though to my ear.

I owned the 280 oh about 3 years ago when I first joined. All it turned out to be was a gateway drug to this hobby. Now look where I am at in my sig, broke, shaking and jonesing for more.

I was just on the phone with the parental yesterday, and she said that to me. Even though I didn't actually say "Irregardless", she just misheard me. Though I argued that it is a word. The spell checker doesn't seem to pick it up.

PX100 vote from me.

I own them both, PX100 is my favoite. I actually went out and got SR225's for home use and haven't used the HD280 since. I use my PX100's with my iPod when I'm out of the house.
