Lol I remember when the RE-400 was THE earphone to have for $100. Sound signature was only decent to me but timbre was great as well as comfort, though I recall pressure issues with it and not the 600 oddly enough.
RE400 suck and the 600 was even worse. the 600 had treble roll off from hell, so it was dark and lacked any sparkle, and the RE400 suffers from having bass weight similar to the RE0 with none of the sparkle to make it interesting.

I remember the 400 having good PRaT and timbre though, but I did wish for more of that last octave in the bass.
