No, Atlanta. Found some nice areas that we're considering, but OMG the traffic. I've never lived anywhere before where it can take 2 hours to go 15 miles.

New cardboard box? JK…..
Wave as you drive thru SC.
Atlanta is just so massive of a city, sprawling. And that highway that encircles it can be a nightmare.
There are some nice properties/neighborhoods north of the city.

Unfortunately, I'm working on the southside (Conyers), so north Atlanta is out of the question traffic-wise. And Conyers isn't a problem for work, but not a place to live...unless I get a concealed carry permit.
I'm driving through SC twice a week. I-77 to I-20. I-85 around Gaffney should have its own episode on "1000 Ways To Die."

I’m surprised there hasn’t been any 6bq5/el84 chatter in this thread. They are a well known and good sounding pentode used in a bunch of stuff. But apparently not in headphone amps.
Anyway, since my new amp will allow me to use arbitrary voltage tubes I went searching in my tube stash for ones I had previously given up on because of the heater voltage. Found some 16gk6 tubes. That is a 16v version of the 6gk6 which is the same as the 6bq5 except with a different pin out. The GE 6bq5 has a good reputation. Yes, some GE tubes have a good reputation no matter what @bcowen says . Brent Jesse says that some of the later day GE 6bq5 tubes were actually made by Mullard. Interesting… wait, what’s that on my tubes?
Woo! Wait, but what’s that?
That’s the GE Kentucky plant code. Boo! Still, one of those labels has to be wrong. Right? Good thing the GE’s have a good rep lol.

Re the GE tubes I am quite sure that they were made in England - did you look on the side of the glass for the etched Mullard numbers?
In the past I have used 7V, 8V, 13V and 25V tubes.

Wow, haven't sen any ASL gear in a long time. Are they still around? I have not found any other codes on the tubes. Would be cool if they were Mullard.

The boxes to these tubes say "Country of Origin as Marked on Tube." Boxes can't lie right? Lol. These do look identical to the other GE 6gk6 tubes I've looked at online though. If they were built in Britain I wonder if they's sound any different if they have the same construction.
