I've been using iTunes as my go-to music player on my computer ever since I got an iPod about two years ago. While it runs great on my desktop, it really gets bogged down on my lower powered netbook. It also doesn't let me sync music to my Android phone, which is annoying.
I've been searching for a replacement media player for a while now and I can't find one that works the way I want. My requirements are pretty stringent, but here's what I'm looking for in a media player:
-Ability to stream music to another computer without some complicated server setup
-Ability to sync music between computer libraries. That is, if I add a song to my desktop PC, I want to be able to transfer the song over to my netbook over a LAN. iTunes does a wonderful job of this.
-Sync both iPods and Android devices
-When syncing to my Android phone, I would like all my .m4a files (ALAC) to be transcoded to some form of MP3
-Last.fm scrobbler support
-Unicode support for foreign characters
-Ability to not sort playlists. This is a weird one, but I playlist all my music based on broad genre, and I place albums in these playlists in whatever darn order I feel like. That's just the way I like doing it. Also, it's easier to remember that "冒険でしょでしょ?" by 平野綾 is about halfway down my playlist, than actually having to search for the file by artist or whatever.

So, does anyone have experience with such an ideal player?
I tried Winamp, but it kept crashing on my Windows 8 x64 machine.
Foobar2000 tries to sort my playlists by track number or artist or something, which is a no-no...

It does?

What kind of playlist are we talking about.  My playlists (tabs) remain messy as they are unless I ask to have it sorted explicitly...

@Joe Bloggs This is the way it sorted the songs by default when I dragged and dropped the files into Foobar:

Well sure, if you just drag a bunch of files into foobar it will sort them somehow, what else do you expect it to do?

What I mean is you can reorder the playlist as you like once you drag the files into foobar.

Also if you export your itunes playlist as a proper playlist file and import that to foobar you should get your custom order of songs?

Okay, I feel like an idiot now...
I didn't realize you could export m3u files from iTunes, I thought you could only export to .txt files... Opening them in Foobar works fine. Derp.
Now, is there some sort of component for Foobar2k that lets me sync multiple libraries and stream to other computers?

You should check out Style Jukebox Cloud Player.

The app takes your music in the Cloud, available only for you, from where it sync it with all your devices using the native apps for Windows, iOS, Android and Windows Phone.

It's free if you're library is up to 1000 songs and it support most audio formats, including FLAC and ALAC.

I took a look at it, but unfortunately my library is ~2600 songs and counting. I also didn't see any mention of transcoding between PC and mobile device, is this correct?

Also, I tried messing around with DoubleTwist, since it has transcoding abilities, but my Galaxy Nexus keeps refusing the songs. Stupid MTP...
