The perfect HD player... how does your wish list look like?

Here's my list.

1. Sound quality equal to Zen
2. 1.8" or smaller HD (must not be larger than iPod)
3. 40GB or bigger disk space
4. Replaceable Li-on Battery (at least 16hrs operating time)
5. FW & USB 2.0 Interface
6. Line-out to hook up Amp properly
7. Bulitin AM Tuner
8. Must come with Case w/ belt clip
9. Big LCD screen (not like Zen)
10. Rio DJ like feature
11. Can be detected as 40GB HD
12. Autosync function (PC->Player, Player->PC)

This is all I ask. I am willing to pay $450 for it.

That's what I've read too, but I think it's restricted to volume limitation, which is a software issue. BTW, I imagine that Don Wilson has an «open» American version of the iPod, and he has experiencied (and measured?) the bass drop-off too.

It's has because anyone is singular, not plural.

Adam...

...I've never heard an iPod so far. If it otherwise sounds as good as its advocates say, it would drive the ER-4X passably well. With totally 50 ohm, e.g., the bass would drop off by 1 dB at 50 Hz, 1.3 dB at 40 Hz and 3 dB at 25 Hz. 100 ohm would be even better in this regard: -1 dB at 25 Hz.
