That looks a little tacky for a SlimX.

Oh well, I'm happy enough with my imp-350.

The top of that imp-500 says "Design by inno"
Who's inno?

A little better with the color, but still ugly (pic found on the same site)

How hard would it be for them to put an AM radio in the slimx too? It SUCKS having to carry a radio around also just to listen to talk radio... but the FM sucks anyhow so I don't they could make the AM worth a crap:/

i believe INNO is a design company that designed all the recent iRiver offerings since imp350(the first SlimX). Including that flash memory based one. A good decision by iRiver to oursource the design as we all know how ugly the early generation MP3/CD players looked

So is the waiting any good? Or one just get the sexy iMP-400
while its hot? iMP-500 looks fine, a bit more minimalistic, more
reserved, but slick.. Are the improvements so drastic we should
wait for this one or just go ahead and buy the 400 ?

I know everyone must be thinking about the toilet seat cover when looks at the latest iriver mp3 pcdps. I stared long and hard at the iMP-500 picture. I say with the right color, it could look like the top view of a grand piano. It could be a beauty this one.

That green is horrid, and I don't like the missing corner....

I'm happy with the design of my iMP-400

It says "Design by Inno" as well on the front.

Actually, the black one looks much nicer.

Why can't they make the player a simple circle? I like symmetry; symmetry is gooooood!
