I guess I should have waited for the VSD3 then if it has a bit more bass but is otherwise like the S model. But then again I am enjoying the heck out of a single top firing BA at the moment so I might be pleasantly surprised.

The vsd3s offers more bass than the ue600 so don't worry.

I got the vsd1 instead bof the 1s last time and found the bass to be too boomy. There's no lack of bass in the vsd3s if you're not a bass head.

Meh. Gonna wait it out for the 7 or 9. Interested in whether VSonic have got it in them to deliver a true class leading phone. Their CEO has been blowing a lot of smoke around with his "better than K3003" claims for the vaporware that once was known as the V7007. Time to put his money where his mouth is

Actually, the difference between 1 and 1S was very very small. It's not like one had flat bass and the other was for bassheads. In reality, the difference in the bass department was so small it could be EQed.

Well, vaporware is a bit harsh given that the main issue seemed to be with Astrotec and their ax60 model and some issues between them and vsonic for patents. I remember that Vsonic's CEO was complaining about it and that he was sad for his father, who apparently was working on the k3003 "killer".
Anyway, I'm still interested in what they'll do with the VSD9 coz if they have all these great sub-$100 performers I kinda wonder what they'll do with VSD9 for it to cost circa 600 bucks.

What would be the practical difference between vsd3 and vsd5 ? I dont really know the ex1000's characteristic, which they compare the vsd5.
What do you think, which would fit to classic rock better ?
Based on the initial impressions vsd3.is a very good allrounder with v shape, but I'm still hesitating if i should wake up early tomorrow to catch one of the 20 or wait for the vsd5 - because it would fit better to my taste

Anyway what is the estimated price of the vsd5? Not really willing to spend more than 50-60 usd

Kova said two posts up and it's on the front page. Price is ~70 bucks. No one knows how the VSD5 will sound because no one has heard it yet. FYI, the stock LMUE has is the VSD3S, rather than the VSD3.

Glad I came across this thread. I've been on the verge of pulling the trigger on the VSD1S or GR06s for the last few weeks and was thinking about putting an order in tomorrow. Was put off by the VSD1S's design and the GR06's age beginning to show. These look really nice. I doubt I'll get the order in tomorrow morning through LMUE, but I hope they get more stock in soon.

Anyone know how much they've been selling the VSD3S for?

Where does it say it's GMT? I was assuming they meant their local time (which I believe is Singapore, SGT time zone).

Since when? Are you sure you aren't confusing it with the UE700? Because dweaver has a UE600.

I'll be going to bed today a little later trying to snatch a pair of VS3DS from lendmeurears.

I was very impressed by the quality of the VSD1S by the price I paid, but I have beginning to long for the GR07 sound. Hopefully these will tide me over.
