I think the angles are for the aesthetics look but I wouldn't be too concerned because they are on the outer side. The inner side is rather rounded but on how they will fit to my ears; time will tell

I haven't read the whole thread but there are no real impressions yet? Or even, it seems, much agreement what the sound signature is supposed to be? I'm trying to catch up here but after reading through about 10 pages...it seems like no one really knows a lot at this point, right?

Yup the first initial batches for the preorders will be shipped probably next week latest. For those that ordered from lendmeurears will be shipped around 15th of June once they arrive.

Yes I was told that the announcement will be made on the 5th of June 2014. When lendmeurears brought the preorder page up for the VSD3S on the 1st of June they said that the preorder for the VSD3 wil be up 10 days later so yeah maybe on the 10th. But do note theres a slight difference between vsd3 and vsd3s. Since they are not out yet I cant say much but Vsonic claims that the vsd3 its tuned to have more bass compared to vsd3s which is tuned towards more balanced sounding.

I've had both, and yes, that's the basic difference. The 1 is more boomy and the 1S is tighter in the low end. 1S has more in the mid highs while 1 has more of a noticeable V-shape.
 
Looking forward to seeing the reviews and first impressions of the VSD3 later this month.
