Oh, right. I'm not really decided, but probably 70, as it still has bass, but not overwhelmingly copious bass. Also the fetching red colour.

I'm in a bit of an awkward position as I go on a 3 week trip at the end of March, so I think I'll order the IM70s ASAP as they have to come from Asia, and just "monitor the situation" of the VSDs.

I guess expectations vary from person to person but honestly I think people should have more realistic expectations. Let's not forget these aren't vsonic's flagship models - the VSD7 and VSD9 will be the new flagships that will be going against the high-end competition. I'm not saying that it's not possible that the VSD3 and VSD5 perform at a very high level but people should not get too hyped and actually expect $60-70 iems to compete with $400+ ones.

...because they won't let the GR line die. Let's milk another GR07 model even if it takes away from progressing. Serves them right if they don't sell well cause so many have been there and done that and the new adopters want the old driver and won't commit cause they think it doesn't have it.
 
Convince me if they just let the whole GR line discontinue that we wouldn't have the VSD7 and VSD3 already, and probably waiting on the VSD3S right now. And that they wouldn't be selling more of those models than GR07 Classics.
 
Ooops, maybe we messed up. Want to hear the CEO tweet that, lol. If you are Sony then you can make a V6 type of product for twenty years if it is a mainstay since you have the ability to produce all the other products you want. Vsonic seems to have bit off more than they can chew. They can't get the earphone models out and they want to do headphones and audio players as well.

It's like they have an eager six year old as the CEO. First they want to make ortho IEMs, DAPs, new IEMs, headphones and so on and so on. It just goes on forever, precisely why I'm getting the AT IM70, and I'll buy these if they ever see the light of day.

I don't see why they don't put the GR07 driver in one of these new housings with the mmxc cable. I would buy it instantly as long as they kept it under $200.
