I need a new dac/amp. It will be connected to a desktop computer whole time. I will use it with Hifiman 400i and Sennheiser 650hd, Senn 598cs.
New K5 doesn't have its own power, so it's limited by the USB's output. I maybe wrong but as far as I know, USB power output may not be enough for some power hungry.headphones , Was that only true for USB2 or is it true for USB 3.0 too? Do USB Amps provide enough power for high impedance headphones in genera?
Senns doesn't require much power but planar Hifiman 400i cant get enough power from the mobile LG dac/amp I have. its listed as "Impedance : 35 Ohms" . Will K5 be enough for this?
I may connect it to the stereo speakers , Edifier 1000db , but they are self powered. So I guess it wont be a problem.
Shall I buy the new K5 or shall I wait for the new K5 Pro?
