The New Enleum AMP-23R Amplifier (Successor to Bakoon AMP-13R) Thread

Why unbalanced? A balanced one won't necessarily mean the single ended input won't be good
Every component in my system is unbalanced. Also I have noticed that using the unbalanced output on most amps cut the power output in half. Would much prefer full power available with my unbalanced cable.

And I love the clean aesthetics of amps with just 1/4 inch out.

Although I haven't heard this pairing, Meze cans are on the warmer side and Enleum is quick, so that should be a nice match I believe. Hope this helps, thanks!

Thanks! next step might be to try and demo this amp with my elites. I like the fact that it has speaker outs as well, living in a small apartment I could get some sensitive speakers and easily fill the room.

Also noticed your user name and thought I would mention I recently got a ifi PowerStation. Great product, with good build quality. Might be plugging a Enleum in it soon, haha.

Has anyone used this with meze elites? Would love to know your impressions. I am looking for a top end unbalanced amp. Also has to be black.
Hello, I can provide some feedback here. I am using Enleum with Maze Elite and Susvara. Elite is a wonderful matching, you get lot of details but above that an incredible punch. Elite scales very well with power. The warm Elite with great layering and separation of Enleum is a perfect match. It resembles something of a tube amp without being so euphonic as a tube. But it is quicker and punchier. It will be extend more especially low registers. It may seems too much power for Elite but it is not the case. I totally recommend the matching. (Chord M Scaler > Chord Dave > Enleum AMP 23R)

Thanks! The sound you're describing is what I am chasing. Thanks for taking the time to describe it to me, I am now seriously going to listen to this match when I get a chance, I am using a feliks euforia atm, so I have tubes covered, would like a solid state amp in my collection. I also could pre amp the euforia to the enleum.

That is a solid plan. On this forum Enleum got some praise as a headphone amp, but most (if not all) reviewers found it a fantastic speaker amp meant to work with sensitive loads. If used as a 2-in-1 device, it'll have a higher value too.

Almost forgot about this bit, thanks a lot for using our PowerStation and I'm happy to read that it works well for you :)

Thanks, I'm in Australia and we are 240v unfortunately, otherwise I would be loving to do your idea. Thanks for trying to help out

The units are all auto switching. You just need to replace the fuse

Well I agree with him in regards to midrange and paring with May and LCD-5. Maybe we have similar taste. Functionality is also not great (gain change, the way how the pot reacts). I’d say that this is one of the most honest opinions. If he would mention the lack of rubber on legs then it would’ve been perfect
