The Midrangehead Club (new thread - 2013)

Regarding the Oppo PM1, PM2:

The FR curve from 400hz to 2.6khz (where the mids are) is flat with a slope starting at 1K (and finishes at 6khz)
so maybe the mids are great, but it isn't a mid-centered headphone :)

I hope I don't duplicate any suggestions but imo the bellow 3 qualify as midrangehead models. What do you think?

The IEM list should probably be extended to include more HiFIMAN models:

- HiFiMAN RE600

- HiFIMAN RE400

These two have some of the most gorgeous mids. The RE400 can make any "midrangehead" smile in pure joy. A midrangehead list of IEM is absolutely not complete without it.

Regarding the headphones I suggest to include:

- JVC VICTOR HA-MX10-B

These headphones deserve to be on the list not less than the Sony CD900ST they are "heavier at the bottom" but still have great mids.

Thanks Yanec, you are absolutely right!
I don't know why we forgot about the Hifimans... these are some excellent top-tier mid-centric IEMs :)

unfortunately, the JVCs are warm 'phones... not for this club)

Is this thread alive? Can anyone suggest an alternative IEM with cd900st soundsignature? My friend suggesting IM-02, did that IEM know for its midrange?

This might be better posted in "Help and Getting Started." There's more traffic there for this sort of question.
