Maybe I'll get some Ultrasone can for a portable. Diameter-wise they're bigger than the M50, but horizontally they don't stick out much from your head like the M50 does, so it should be a little less unwieldy. Only problem is, I can't for the life of me figure out their naming scheme and settle on which one to buy

Are you going to use them with an external amp or just with a normal HO?

ATM I don't have an amp, but I was thinking about picking up an iBasso D2+ Boa or some other portable DAC/amp combo some time in the future

Heh, I wish I could go for the Ed8, it's sexy
Which model would you recommend for using with an amp? HFI780, Pro 750, Proline 650, or DJ1 Pro?

Damn Ultrasone and their non-sequitur model names

Dude, get the Zino's and transplant the drivers. There are many rumors that the Zino drivers came from a larger Ultrasone phone and from trying the drivers out in several larger enclosures I can say that this is almost certainly true. They sound better in every enclosure that I've tried than the original Zino enclosure.

I'll tell the truth, after spending only $70 for the Zino's and hearing how good the drivers sound in other, larger enclosures my desire to buy more expensive Ultrasone's has diminished to almost zilch.

Apparently I have a long-unused twitter account. Wondering if there's any point in using it seeing as have no followers and do absolutely nothing interesting ever.

That's why I hate twitter.  I'm not a follower!
