After 1.2 update, how to play all songs of an artist who has more than one albums? When I choose an ARTIST, it is separated into individual album folder. So I cant play all song of an artist now.

Probably best to email iBasso.

I just got back my gr07s after having them recabled and to be honest i'm kinda not enjoying the sound with dx50. It's a bit too harsh and bright for me. I listen to fast paced rock music, and right now it's not really enjoyable. Before dx50 i had a rockboxed ipod classic and liked the sound much better.  Now i'm little afraid i might not like my dx50 with the 1964 ears CIEMs ill be receiving soon.
The 1964 ears v6's somewhat round off high end frequencies. Give the dx50 time to burn in and hopefully you will be satisfied.

I had issues with v1.2. The album view is no long accessible. Given that I downgraded to version 1.6. I am assuming that version 1.2 had issues and that is why ibasso yanked it off their site.

You may want to buy the X3 to compare to the dx50. The X3 isn't as bright and will handle rock music fine, it's not as analytical as well so you get more of a organic sound.  You can always sell the one you don't like. I think I saw a used pair on the for sale section of Head-fi.
The DX50 does sound it's best with darker earphones, not sure which model of the 1964ears you got, but a few, from what I have read are slightly darker. I have the v6 stage on order, and it should pair nicely with the DX50.

Also, you can always EQ your settings on the DX50 so that they are not as bright.

The DX50 and the ASG2's are a match made in heaven... just saying..

I just received the iBasso DX50. I'm extremely impressed by the touchscreen, the looks, the overall build quality etc. I've only tested it with the TDK BA200s. I barely detected any hiss, so that's a load off. The SQ seems really good, although I can barely detect a difference in dac/amp with the BA200s.

I want to recommend the DX50 to you but I can't at this point.  The DX50 is a great sounding player but it isn't a 100% stable yet.  Given that you will be listening on the go, you won't have much time screwing around if the player is not responsive.  You may want to look into the newer Sony line of Walkman F886 as it will have a dedicate control buttons as well as trouble free operation.  Sadly, Sony has limited storage space.  Fiio X3 is also another excellent candidate.

Just as a counterpoint, I use my DX-50 quite a bit while walking and on the train and in the car and have had no more problems with it than I have had with my Ipod or Cowan J3. And I am using it with the 64 Gb and 2 128 Gb USB flash drives pretty much full. So not everyone sees the DX-50 as "unstable", FWIW. I will say I have no music files on the 8Gb internal memory, maybe this has something to do with stable operation?

How can you downgrade to a later version?  Wouldn't version 1.6 be a later version than version 1.2?

its actually 1.1.6 vs 1.2.0. 1.2.0 is latest.

to downgrade, just put the earlier version update.img into the root of your DX50 and update as usual, or put it in the root of your SD card, shut down the DX50, power on by pressing vol up+power and hold vol up until you enter into recovery, then update through SD card.

Not a problem.  My DX50 went crazy again and continue to freeze and later shutdown after playing a few minutes of tune.  I'm flushing a firmware again for the 10th time.  I think my unit is having problems with the 1.2.0 firmware.  Will try to downgrade to 1.6.0.  I'm glad you don't have my problems though.  Mine is from the first batch and it gives me plenty of headache from day one.
