  Try use the recovery system?
1. power off the unit
2. hold the volume up button
3. press the power for ~ 2 secs
4. still hold the volume up button, until you get a screen like:

DX50 system recovery (3e)

Volume up/down to move highligh
power button to select.

reboot system now
apply update from SDcard
wipe data/factory reset
------------------------------------------

Recovery system v1.0

5. use volume down to highlight the "wipe" line, and press power button.
See if this helps.

Thank you looks like it worked. Media scanning now.

She updated without a hitch. Didn't even hang like on the other updates. Great job. I just replied to an email iBasso sent me regarding the Media Scanning problem. I hit them with other bugs...like the alphabetical thing, and sent them two songs that my unit just won't play. No idea why...they're looking at them today (their time).

As an aside...I coupled the DX50 to a FiiO E17 and it sounds great. Not sure if it's "better" than the C&C BH...but the E17 has tone and bass controls that I find nice.

I do now realize...without a doubt...that i have to clean up my tags...

UGGGG

LOL

updated mine from the third time.

first, it just stuck at checking firmware stage and I rebooted, then (I downloaded another update image) It said it couldn't find update image and the third time (cleaned everything, reseted and deleted the folders in the root storage) it updated smoothly...

Anybody know how to add songs to the playlist???

If you select a song, you have to press the little FLAC/MP3/whatever symbol on the left, instead of the track title.
Sounds weird, but that's how you do it.
You can also delete the track and do other stuff in the menu that pops up.
Does not work in the Directory-view mode.

I hope you get what I'm trying to say....

Will try, but my DX50 has been media scanning my 64GB SD card for 30 minutes.

Wow. Either it is actually 100% scanning it (which would be a premiere here) or crap broke....

I would shut it down Lin, sounds like it's frozen, turn it off or do a hard reset. Then either rescan or go to browse folders.

Exactly what happened to mine the very first time I put a card in. Not promising after just completing an "update"

Updated mine.
No any problem while update.
Booting and turn off very fast now, wow!!!
The volume perfect, just push and hold will raise smoothly.
Music info has been fixed.
Add never turn off device.
Multi language support.
Look like they fixed the gain setting.
Scan my SDHC 32GB Class 10, take about 1 minute.

Some question :
Why iBasso website dont show version 1.2.0 update?
Anyone noticed any sound change after update?

Glad to hear. Can you confirm if the CUE works for both APE and FLAC?
