Yeah, I do. It aint' pretty, but feels pretty sturdy. To my ears, they sound phenomenal, up there with the best speakers I've ever heard.

In all seriousness everyone is entitled to like what they like.  But for me at that price I'm running for the 009 since it costs less, measures well, looks the part and generally passes the sniff test while the Abyss well... doesn't.  Or at lease that was once true.  I'm out of the open headphone game so the ceiling is quite a bit more affordable and less bulky =)

I really dislike the he-560. The build quality is shocking and I really didn't like the sound of them either. Give me the lcd-2 over the he560 anyday. Hell give me some dt 990s instead.

The build quality is very good for the 560's. Have you even touched them before? To each his own I guess but you are the minority in your opinion of them!

Of course I've touched them. I'd never comment about the sound of something I have not heard.

The veneer looks tacky, they felt fragile and next to the competition they didn't stack up. People like different things. But there is definitely a lot of hype behind some of these products. Not to mention buyers justification.

Also there are many reviews that comment about issues with quality control and poor build quality. I would say a majority of reviews agree with me about flimsy build quality. Not many dislike the sound as much as I did, but I had it side by side with the best planars and it was the worste to my ears by a large margin.

I dont like neutral headphones, but haven't had a chance to try the 009s. I will audition them before buying the abyss to be sure, but if they are analytical and harsh I'll stay away.

Yeah, so I've read. I mean it's still worth an audition! Just can't do it easily in Australia.

Anyone else interested in blue? In particular, anyone in my batch (I think i'm in the next one, as order was placed on 2014/08/04).

Looking at all the Pico options, makes me want to customize:

Good luck with that. Blue would be nice. I tried to find someone in my batch interested in ordering orange with but no one else saw the light.

Just got mine after a 1 year wait (more or less). You can trust Justin to reserve one for you!

Wonderful amp! Using a HDP-R10 to drive an ancient Thorens TDA-2000 DAC into the GS-X Mark II with a HD800 with stock cables.

Really nice. Will be plugging in the AKG-1000 this weekend!

It is time to reterminate your HD800 cable and go balanced.  The HD800 balanced out of the GSX-X MKII is just wonderful.

Is the Black Dragon a good cable for the HD800/GSX combo? anyone use this cable or recommend something as good or better?
