I'm not sure what hard trance 2002-2003 era is.

I may be getting my era's of hard trance wrong, but I believe that is the bas & ram, ralph novell and alphazone period when the acid sound was incorporated to great effect.. Hard Trance started dying soon after then.

I did get that wrong, acid always played a big part in hard trance. I can't believe it died, always my favourite style of edm.

Those were much earlier then 2002-03, the acid sound with bit of gabber like sound with hard trance then was around 98-00, soon after more of the progressive trance came out from about 01 and the gabber and acid like sounds were distinguished into separate genre's. Make no mistake majority of electronic music (techno being the tree) came from early gabber, as gabber/hardcore and progressive were the early styles to the electronic (techno) scene today.

Speaking of old school hard trance, any of you's remember Kai Tracid?

Considering the bolded bit, methinks you quoted the wrong thread and listened to the other links.

Ohh true...I did....ops. But yeah the earlier hard trance sounded cross between gabber and acid.

EDIT: Actually no I didn't get it wrong, Kai Tracid has some old school hard trance remixes.

Indeed he does. But my point was, that in the post you quoted I included Trance and Acid which iirc was 02, Speed of light by Bas and Ram which was later, possibly even 04+ now that I think about it and Scot Project - O which I'm sure was post 2000. In the next post I had two that are definitely pre-2k, much faster and possibly more awesome.

Ohh ok, nah I was referring to something else that I was listening to. I usually make mistakes when I'm engulfed by my music. Sorry.
