There is a small matter of upgrading my source. That seems to be the weakest link in my system. I figure I need a better source if I am gonna invest in >$1.5 K headphones. So I am hoping I can resist the temptation based on priorities.

no, you're not insane...perhaps head-fi is a casual thing for you...

i don't think you're going to get a much better deal than this on Grado phones in Europe, though...so if, at some point, you gain interest in this hobby, you may look back on this opportunity with regret...

i'm not sure if a trend is being established here...maybe the HF3 & 4 (5, 6, 7 & 8) are to follow...you still have the chance to pick up a used HF1 & attempt to collect them all
