Hi, thx for sharing!

is this fw exactly the same, original X3II fw themes ? Is it 100% compatible with X1 ?

B4 to make the move, Is it reversable, mean, can I go back if at any time I change my mind?

Is these Themes are created from your own ? Are U the creator ?

Is this fw update, affect Themes only ?

For the most part, yes. There were some images that were different sizes, so I modified the images' sizes to match the X1 theme's images.

As far as I know, it is 100% compatible (as I just replaced the theme images in the X1 fw with the images from the X3II fw). That being said, I haven't tested absolutely everything, so if you do encounter any issues or see something that's a little off, please let me know.

And yes, you can go back any time. You just need to download the stock 1.3 firmware and update your device again.

No, I am not the creator of the themes or the FWs, all credit to FiiO for that.

You do have to update your firmware, but only the themes will be affected.

Most everyone uses foobar2000 to make playlist for the X1.  I'm sure one of those guys will chime in soon, but I don't know of any other software to use to create them.

It's going to depend how big your library is.

Personally - I use Foobar 2000.  Make sure X1 is connected, then add songs individually in the order I want them.  Save as playlist on the device.  Test to see if it's working.  Its a bit laborious - but once your done, you're set.

Good try! Sorry, Am talking here dude about DIY "Manualy" no software. Foobar are not compatible anyways with Mac OS 10.5 (PPC)

You can do that too.

First - make sure your folder structure is organised properly.  At a minimum \Artist\Album.  If you want more control \alpha id\Artist\Album
EG
\A-C\Adele\21
Makes for nice easy browsing - and saves excessive wheel use with large collections (mine is currently around 400 albums I think)

Once folder structure in place, simply open notepad, or similar editor, and make sure Explorer (or other file manager) open with X1 window

Then simply copy and paste into a list.  Tip - if you're file browser of choice has the option - you can usually display full path to each folder - just copy that path

Eg

E:\A-C\A Fine Frenzy\Bomb in a Birdcage\01 What I Wouldn't Do.m4a

Once you have all your tracks in a list - prune the drive info off, so the above line becomes:
\A-C\A Fine Frenzy\Bomb in a Birdcage\01 What I Wouldn't Do.m4a

An example of a full list might look like this (this is my current review test track list)

The #entries are just comments so I can organise them better - and are ignored.

Save as a *.m3u8 file into your root directory (mine is simply called "test tracks.m3u8"), and then to activate - go into folder browser mode, find and select.

Easy.
