Anyone got an idea on when this is gong to be released??

I'm looking for a DAP and was thinking about the HM700 and the RE400 until I saw this. For only $100, I doubt that I will be able to pass this up.

Thanks for the info. Oh man I'm pretty excited. Think there will be any early bird promo or special offers for it (maybe discouted bundle with an IEM or something)?

fiio doesn't make any iem and with a price of $100 I doubt there would be any bundles..

I didn't say that it had to be a Fiio IEM. I am completely aware that they don't do IEMs..for now at least.

engineer samples in this month. we hope we can release it before Aug

The DAP should be avaliable in 2015.
Pshhh !

Oh so did you mean that engineer samples will be released in August while it will be available to the consumer/general public in 2015!?

But bundles do exist. Like the X3 and Dunu D1k holiday bundle awhile back. Would be nice if they could do so again, maybe this time with another brand.... Zero Audio maybe?

Yes,
You probably buy FIIO to have a great sound quality... IMHO you must buy great earbuds like the Yuin PK1 to feel the sound quality of that DAP.

Any release bundles will have most likely nothing to do with Fiio themselves, it'll be handled by retailers. I would expect a few to exist.

Try to be pragmatic.
You don't design a tiny little low power DAP for huge headphones listeners ? yes ?

If the jack is on the top of a so little thing... the cable pulls (and it shortens it), so you must take it firmly in your hand.
If the jack is on the side of a so little thing... you can't take it firmly in your hand... only with two fingers... and it pulls on the side, with two fingers prehension, it rotates.

My SE846 and HD25-1 ii both have right angle connectors. Jack at the top or sides will work best for me. So, point is, there is no right/wrong.
