Seems like it should fit into the Pelican 1010 case as well.

A lot of people like these Pelican cases.

I've a Pelican 1010 case. When I get home I'll try it with my daughters X1. Hope it helps.

I was actually hoping someone would recommend a good-sized Pelican case! I've looked at them in the past, and they seem great, but I didn't know what size to get. The pricing on this is wonderful too. Thanks to you both!

The X1 looks like a good player, and I would have probably bought one if the battery life was 40+ hours. At only around 11 hours though, the player doesn't seem very useful to me. I hope Fiio will develop some players with long battery life. Not everyone needs very high power output. Many use an efficient earphone between 16 and 32 ohms with their player.

Battery life and size of player is something that companies need to make a considered decision on. It could have a larger battery for longer times, but how much time do you need in reality?

In one day's listening, are you going to play it for even eight hours? If you listen to two albums a day, that would be 5 days.

You can charge it any time, so when I get home, I just plug in overnight. I've never been without power.

Having higher power allows a much wider choice of headphones and it drives them very nicely.

Having a battery life of 40+ hours would perhaps lead to you actually forgetting to charge it and leaving it for longer periods and in any case, having low power output is not the best for good dynamic range.

So there are reasons and tbh, it is a great sounding dap at a brilliant price.

Having high power out and relatively short battery life might be okay for some, however many others use efficient earphones between 16 and 32 ohms, and want long battery life. For example, one might want to leave the player in their locker at the gym, and only bring it home to charge once a month. Others might want to charge the player once a week. For me, battery life of around 30 to 50 hours would be optimal in terms of player size and weight vs the inconvenience of having to charge it much more often. Also keep in mind that battery life will be decreasing over time. At least if a player starts off with 40 hours of battery life, after a few years I can still expect it to have 20+ hours of battery life.

One thing that would help an old geezer like me is bigger text. I have to keep putting my glasses on to read it!!!

Many request bigger font, but I hope they make the font adjustable for example I would like to have a little smaller font as my file names are so long and it shows the name so slowly, so smaller would be the thing I prefer.
