In previous threads this has been answered. Will E6 beat the E11? No. But I want to know the details why. (maybe ClieOS could answer) Here are some advantages I already know about: 1. A removable/spare battery 2. More powerful: output of E11 could be 300mW where the E6 150mW. 3. The volume control wheel. 4. Same size as my mp3 player so don't have to use an annoying clamp, but attach it with the Fiio band. What I still want to know: What are the sound differences? Some say sound is darker, but that maybe what I want with my Grados SR80's because they are so bright. Is the volume control robust or more like that of the cheap E5? Is it a slider volume or a button to push to raise the volume?

E11 does sound darker compared to E6. E11 use Alps pot for volume control (in analog), which is very different from the digital volume control on E6. It is a knob that you turn to control the volume The main reason (beside that you have mentioned) why I consider E11 as the better amp is on resolution and imaging. Music sounds more refined and layered on the E11. E6 on the other hand sounds more compressed.
