Does not light up on mine. No difference from MK3 meters.

Thank you both. Empirical evidence matches my experience, but that doc suggested otherwise. Baffling..

I called Decware and asked - thought I'd close the loop and share the repy with you, and future readers who may chase the same answer:

The Taboo Mk4 can have either non backlit (default) or backlit (extra add-on) meters. So if yours aren't backlit, it means you haven't ordered that option. As far as cost, as of the time of this post, it is $250 to add that backlight.

Thanks for the update. I got my Taboo used so I didn’t have the option to get any extras for it. 250$ for a backlight seems a bit steep though.

If anyone needs an extra taboo base let me know. I just ordered a new one and can sell my old one for a good price.
