My refurbished GR07 MK1 from lendmeurears.com arrived today. I can tell it's been used, there was dirt on the housing which I had to clean, but all accessories and tips are new. For 80$ still great deal, though.

Shoreline is a small music shop in my hometown. They don't sell a huge variety of products, so their open box stuff will only ever be Audioengine, Grado, Beyerdynamic, etc.

I get that. I am just surprised how they have a new open box D1 once or twice a week. Do they really get that many returns?

Its hard to find new ones at a discount because of Sennheiser's strictly enforced MAP but actually right now both Amazon and Headroom are selling them at a 10% discount ($161/$224). Its rare to see new Senn's at a discount from either Amz or Headroom so its a good time to buy.
 
I got some refurbished 558s from Dakmart through Buy.com a couple weeks ago for $112 shipped but they didn't come with the original packaging. They were like-new in every way though.

I realized just after I posted this that it was somewhat of a mistake, not the post itelf but asking for possibilities outside of Amazon. Ive just recently had my 19th birthday and my parents got me a $100 Amazon card, so basically half of the financing for the headphones are that card. 
 
Like I said, I wouldnt really mind buying used, its just that Im worried about getting the older model that used to have that cracking problem on the headband.

The adgtron Sennheisers are factory refurbished. The cracking problem has long since been taken care of.

Someone a few pages back mentioned if you just go to Razordogaudio's ebay account, you can bid on HD600's for $310, and they'll likely give them to you... Worth a shot, potentially.
