hi
recently my blox m2c cable died
so i want to switch cable from another headphone cuz i love m2c
 
but when i open up the earphone a piece of metal/copper ring fall out.
 
what does it do ? and will it work without it?

It seems like you've ripped the drivers apart, literally and unfortunately. The copper bit is the voice coil, without which you can just trash them.
