The newly released V7 Classic Dual OP-amps from Burson arrived yesterday.
I need these to upgrade my Burson Conductor 3X GT DAC.
Burson recommended these just launched for my DAC,.this instead of the also just launched V7 Vivid Pro which comes in their new Voyager.

Today,.my new Voyager head-amp also lands here ...
SO,.it will be really interesting to evaluate these new toys.

how do these V7 classics sound compared to v6 vivid?

Voyager...I'm very impressed so far.
Going through a burn-in process.
I'm planning to come up with a full review within next 2-3 weeks from now.

Having owned tested quite a few high end amps, got to the conclusion that you can’t get much better than this: at this level (oor, Luxman 750u, Bliss) it becomes just a matter of different flavours and tastes.

Really sounds like with V7 opamps the GT23 would be EXACTLY the same.

Also the GT23 was basically perfect 6 months ago, now it has treble glare and makes the Susvara's drivers rattle....

I have had Soloist 3X GT 2023 with SP2 modules,.now have Voyager De Lux.
I perceive the difference exactly as the review describes.
Both are really good,.and the differences are well described in the review.

I also have the V7 Classic Dual OP-amps,.and even there the review describes the difference to the V7 Vivid Pro exactly.

You were really pissed that Burson released a new model when you just bought a Soloist 3X GT 2023.
ALSO,.you don't seem to have read the review properly...

Not when I just bought it. What I did is irrelevant.

I was (and I am) shocked about a company launching 2 flagships less than 6 months apart: in March the GT23 is launched as best of the best, 6 months after not anymore as there’s a new one. Can you imagine BMW launching 2 “new 5 series” 6 months from each other? Can you imagine the press they would get and the rage from their customers?

Also, the review doesn’t compare apples with apples as the gt mounts v6 opamps, which makes any comparison completely irrelevant. To make it so they would need the same set of opamps, the same so modules and the same power supply.

Btw (and just to be clear) I own a Voyager and I think it’s a great product. In general I love Burson products as I have had several of them.

But their commercial strategy is ridiculous and deeply disrespectful of their customers.

If you have the new Voyager,.what are you complaining about..??

Instead,.concentrate on installing and optimizing your Voyager.
I've had mine for 45 days,.and only this weekend I'm 100% satisfied with my optimization in and around my Voyager.

THEN,.you should know the differences between them yourself..or how..!!

My gt23 didn’t have v7 opamps and even if it had them, never had them side by side, which is the only way you can compare them (especially very similar products). I’m more atentive to detail than you may think, mate. I just want to compare apples with apples.

Of course I wrote to Burson: as a loyal customer I felt betrayed by their commercial strategy. Again (but obviously you don’t want to hear it) how would you take if they launched a new 5 series bmw today, you bought it, and then another new one in 6 months?
