Kalbi - Korean Beef Short ribs - beef flanken cut across the ribs rather than parallel.
Bulgolgi - thinly sliced beef rib-eye.
The marinades are a little different. Though both can be equally expensive. At a nice korean restaurant, an order of kalbi will be about 25$, and bulgolgi 20$.
I've been to Nobu in Vegas, it was very very good, but unfortunately I just can't appreciate fish as much as beef.
