Personally if I could only keep one out of my SR80s or HD595, I'd keep the SR80s.

People believe what they want to believe. Personally I'm unable to listen to headphones because the reflections are all over the place, it's like sticking my head inside a bucket. K1000 earspeakers are clean and show everything in the system without adding any boominess that masks detail.

K1000 sounds full because of the multiple low-level bass transients. It's almost like having constant bass always turned on. Without the tweaks you can't hear low-level bass at all which makes it sound thin.
K1000 sounds strong because those low-level bass transients don't blend together with the other layers of bass transients. All layers together equal about 20-30 bass beats per second. And then there are the shimmering single high frequency transients of about 60-80 per second. Most trance music is that complex.
Everything combined makes it sound full, strong and heavy.

Without Nordost Valhalla cables the lows and highs blend together, and without vibration isolation the transients blend together. Without power conditioning there is background noise that masks low-level detail.

I'm actually not quite sure. You've actually heard the system, but then again, based on your past history, I'm not sure if you'd be the most credible source on something like this...

If I can't afford a comb or doorknob, how would I afford to buy a passport? Oh, and then there's the $2000+ for airplane...

A pilot might be willing to let you fly for free in exchange for rewiring his plane with Valhalla cable.

I'm sure he'd notice a great change in speed and dynamics. The control tower would sound clearer, the lights in the cabin would get brighter, and the engine noise level would significantly decrease. Not to mention those 128 mp3s would sound better than lossless did before! Oh, and the engine would run much better once heated up properly.

Are you guys on the same page with each other, or am I missing something here? Is this about the power cord from the amp to the headphones, or from the wall outlet to the amp??

Honestly with all due respect, I do not need to. And OTOH, I do not think that you will find a person silly enough to spend that insane amount of money, and correct me if I'm wrong, without the possibility of returning a product (I was not able to find anything about satisfaction warranty or returning period on their website, please if they do, provide me the link)....Also I do not think that it will be too hard to understand that a person that did that, and has no other choice, will try to justify the investment later on...And the last point I'm getting sick of that in any thread I jump in, I saw you trying to push those stupid cables to everybody, cables that 90% of us can not afford, as they have an stupidly insane price tag.....I have another question for you: By any chance do you work for them, or did you get any good deal in exchange for that "fanboyism" ???

That is the only explanation that my little rusty brain gave me....

FYI I have heard the K-1000 in a few setups, even good balanced setups, dual mono-blocks, etc....Nik sold it for that same reason, IIRC, after trying it, in probably some of the best setups money can buy (BTW far better than yours) and I know for a fact, that it is not easy to make it sound full.

I like it, it is a very nice sounding headphone, and with a huge soundstage, do not misunderstand me, but the low end is completely lacking, you need more, and a lot more, than a good cable to make it sound full, as you are claiming....Some members here use sub-woofer to compensate it, so go and figure....

Just sell one of those stupid cables, IIRC you have spent $21,000 on them, so what is a miserable $2000.00 ticket in comparison???

From the wall ot the amp, he has also IIRC the headphone rewired with Nordost as well, but he was talking of power conditioning, and power cords...
