First things first, Hello  all :)

This is my first post on this forum and I think any forum ever,

I'm having trouble finding some new cans and amp's etc. so here are my questions:

1. What's better a fiio e17 or e11 + zo 2.3 in combination  and Zo 2.3 vs e17 in general (for bassheads)

2. I mainly listen to drum and bass/dubstep(not the new style bleepy kind but the deep old stuff from Coki, Matty G,...)/ uk garage/house,... so electronic music. And I'm looking for a nice,  new, not to sound leaking, bass heavy headphones. From previous posts  I've read alot (page 251-382) the beyerdynamic's 770 and v-moda seem to look allright the only problem is I got big ears (7.5cm) and like comfort.
Atm I'm using http://alatest.co.uk/reviews/headphone-reviews/teufel-aureol-massive/po3-138141651,74/ which I think have good bass, and pretty large cushions.

El Gingero Loco (forum newbie)

Anyone?

PRO700MK2 is also a good one for your music preferences. Although vocals are a bit drowned out because of all DAT BASS.

Lisztomania - Pheonix intro sounds amazing through these headphones ( or any good bass heavy headphone) when that bass drum kicks. Give it a listen, sounds sweet.

Hi guys,

Great thread, very informative and a lot of discussions.

Anyway, I just received my JDS O2 AMP, and looking for something more "bassy" than my pair of M50's for EDM "sessions". Budget is around $150 - $250 give or take.

Also looking for something nice and portable for the "on the go" moments, $50 - $100. Don't got a portable amp yet, but that's on the list.

If something's unclear or you guys have questions, shoot!

M-Audio Q-40's are basshead dreams and can be had for between $100 and $125.  Personally love them for not only the bass but a good sound overall.
Beyerdynamic DT770's are pretty darn good and bassy and can be had for $200ish - and there are some for sale in the FS forum (may be moving my 32 ohm LE version as well as they are so similar to my Q40's and I want to keep trying new phones).

I found some Q-40 for a cheap price($75), should be a given then? :)

What about DT770's, what kind of ohm should I look fore? 32, 250 & 80 are some I found locally around here.

B&H Photo has them used for $71.95.  I'd buy them again in a heartbeat.

I'm not sure what ohm on the DT770 - or if it really matters.  I have the 32 ohm LE and they have plenty of bass.

Hey,
I got myself the Westone Um2 (I know they're not listed in the thread :D )
I'm a bass player, which makes kind of a basshead haha
The UM2 are driven by a Cowon S9 now the sound is lacking the real deep bass rumble that punches my brain from side to side. I tried EQing and it didn't work as expected. I love the overall sound of the UM2, love the clarity and the mids are overwhelming. Listening to singer/songwriters is really a pure pleasure. But when I listen to house music (Justice, Daft Punk) or Motown/Funk/Soul they lack a bit of deeeeeeepbass
Now I thought adding a Digizoid ZO2 would fix that. Has anybody tried the combination before?
