t >.> I have a crappy Fiio E6 Amp one an it's a big help although I have crummy EQ on my Zune so... xD, plus I modded my 700's so the bass is a lot tighter and drops a little heavier. Plus highs are crisper after the mod and there's a little better instrument separation as well.

And you might be right not getting a 700 to punch like a 500, 700's seriously lack mid >.> I'd need to play with em some >.>

Still buying one or the other is a win either way, and [once again] :D I'm looking forward to getting the 1000's ^^

The 1000s are a good buy, but just don't expect it to be anything like the 700 and the 500. Its punch is decidedly less stunning, but the detail and clarity is much better. Still, if you have a digiZoid or an E11, just up the bass level on the XB1000s, and you'll get something close to the 500, but with better quality. I'm sure you'll love it. :)

I have the 700's and I don't want anything close to the 500, so the 1000 is a defeinate yes for me :D... I just don't have a need for another bass heavy can atm <.< I need to get something for the rest of the spectrum so XB1000 will have to w8 [although the E11 I'm looking at getting for my next set]

Well, you can never have too many bass heavy cans.. Kidding! :D

Btw, what headphones are you looking at purchasing next?

Dt880 Pro 250ohm, I want a nice reference can as well as something that gives due justice to Classical Jazz and Instrumental Rock, the XB700's are pleasant when listening to these genres but they don't give them due justice!

Yup, I suppose you're right. I've only auditioned the DT770 before, and that was a pretty good basshead can. Still, I'm very much in love with EDM (20 years now), so the low end is really of utmost importance to me. Among my main cans/IEMs, about the only one I would use for general listening would be my M50s and SE535s. Everything else is pretty much bass focused. :)

I hope you'll get your XB1000s soon, thought! We could have a nice chat about it.

Same, although it will most likely be a while. I have some nessicary things I need to buy... car... insurance... GAS MONEY SAVINGS ACCOUNT I HATE NOT HAVING A FULL TANK OF GAS OH MY GOODNESS... but it shouldn't b too long. I'll live with my parents as long as they'll have me. They are pretty mello,

Yea  I saw that the DT 770 had a bass heavy FR and are cheaper, but again I want a nice balanced can, the DT880 being that can :3

Also I've heard the HFI-580 does better with Bass than the ATH M50, the Ultrasone [HFI-580] is spoused to be pretty balnced as well!

LOL, I know what you mean, bro. I'm spending way too much money on headphones/IEMs. :D

For me, I prefer using my 580s for EDM; however, the M50 is pretty much the better can for other types of music. In fact, the latter is also quite good as producing a good bass response, just not as pronounced as on the 580s.

Save your time and money from buying five or ten different below $100 soso earphones and just get and earphone that equals and even beats most earphones that cost 3 times its price. Which earphone? Atrios.

I used to be an IEM fan, but I have since moved on to headphones for a better basshead experience. Still, I see that you also have the Westone 3 - how do they compare to the mg6pros? My only upgrade path for an IEM now would be a bassy CIEM, and so far, only JH16 comes to mind. Thanks in advance.

I got the Koss MV1's.  I am officially in love with their bass.  I had some Hd555's and thought the bass was good on these, but I had no idea what I was missing!  Just got the FiiO e17 and paired with the Mv1's make me a very happy Bass Head.
