Thank you for your suggestions. I just ordered a CKS99 from amazon. JVC Fxz200 is like 250$ from ebay or 215$ from amazon after the customs tax in canada and shipment handle it will cost me like near 300$. Another question, its possible to use comfly foam for CKS77 for CKS99 (bz I cant find CKS99 model on the list of comply tip finder).

One thing to consider - the velour pads may tend to knock the bass down - at least it did for me, so it is worth trying but you may end up back to a leather pad.  Which means you don't have to use the stockers since they are not great, you can try others like the HiFiMan leathers or Brainwav items (which is what I'm in the process of doing when they arrive next week or so).  I also have a pair of Beyer gels (leather) on order but could be weeks or months before I see them from Germany.

Let me see, how to quantify my answer.  I think Q40 rumbles a bit more and may have a touch more mid bass but that's really splitting hairs.  The sound the Denon has is way more musical (not sure if that is a proper description) but has clearly better mids and highs. 
 
Kind of the all around I've been hoping for.  If they continue to please me like this I will likely never ever sell them.
 
Remember too, these have the angle pads and MarkL mods to them so they are a cut above a stock D2000, which I have never heard.

Not to be a bummer but if you want the bass, you are waaaaay better off with the cks77.  And yes you can use the same tips on both models.

Soooo my DJ1/HFI 580 arrived today............. and they are in the box, about to be on the way back to amazon.  These things don't hold a candle to the Q40's

Very little can compare to Q40's for bass.  For $100ish dollars it is the best value basshead phone I have.  By far. And they sound damn good overall as well.  Not just a one trick pony.

So would you consider the D2000 a worthy upgrade to the Q40 at current prices? As far as I know the D2000 has been discontinued so I don't know how much a used pair would go for.
I love the sound of the Q40 but the comfort leaves a bit to be desired. A little less mid bass wouldn't be the end of the world, but I love my heart stopping subbass.

In a nutshell, yes.  The past three weeks I've been shopping for a pair - I've seen the range from $260 (sold in two hours - clearly priced too low) to $330 as a high, with a couple at $290-300,  which is what I think is the right price and will stay there for the duration.  Well, in reality, the price will likely rise and would be justified considering the discontinued status and the quality.   Add in the mods and you could name your price in the future (within reason) as long as they are kept in top shape. 
 
Q40 and these together?  Great two pairs to have in the collection.  You can add the angle pads (available from Lawton Audio) to any D2000 so you don't have to do the mods to have the comfort.  I don't know what the stock pads are like but these angle pads are like butter soft and thick.

And by the way, I am holding out hope the thick leather pads added to the Q40 and stretching out the headband a bit would solve the comfort issue without losing the bass.

Where have you seen the D2000 priced at around $300? Would you consider them better than the VModa M100?

Here on our For Sale forums.  That's where I bought mine, and from two days ago there was at least one for sale, as well as a D5000 for $400 or $450 (can't remember which). 
 
No idea vs VModa M100, sorry.

Compared the d5ks and m100 briefly and the m100 seems to have more midbass. Doesn't surprise me becos the denons are subbass cannons but the amt of midbass is still well good.
