What are you referring to?

Yes Sir... I left myself wide open for that. (I know... what am I referring to now?)

Just purchased an M50 earlier today :)
AFAIK it will be coiled cabling.

My roommate has a Shure SRH750DJ, which also has coiled cable, and I found that to be cool; can't imagine using the M50 with 2 metres of straight cabling, at all, ugh. The coil is a compromise for many I guess.

I'm coming to the ATH M50 from my modded Yuin G2A (very neutral, balanced, musical texture, with some bass punch due to modding), hopefully the renowned bass value of the M50 won't hit me too hard with such a transition.

lol straight is better. you just need to loop a bit. coil is more bulky trust me.

Yeah, if I had realized that the length would be such an issue, I would held out for the coiled version. But one day I may chop it off...

Or you can just try braid it.

Umm, Does anyone know what to do with the yellow paper that comes with my ATH-M50's?
Do I have to send the paper back to Audio Technica within 10 days or is it a warranty card that I send to them if my M50's break?
Thanks.

Just got mine - and I have to say I'm impressed. Easy to drive and sound really even better with either my total bithead or fiio e5.

My 1st sealed can - they do isolate nice. More bass than my Grados - the mids/highs aren't as forward, but they have a nice balance to them.

Just received mine today. It is definitely a little rough out of the box, but it isn't too bad. I'm burning it in right now and I bet it will sound great after!

This thread has really gotten me interested in the M50's. How are these headphones when it comes to classical music(violin concertos mostly)?
