Well I searched for it in the forums but couldn't find anything yet, so I figured I might as well get the ball rolling (if there's another thread, you can remove this one)

A while ago Q Audio sent out an email announcing the the creation of The Audio Guild, under the umbrella of which we'd find Q Audio (whose cables a lot of us really enjoy) and the new Electro Magnetic Amplifier Co. (EMAC, which may or may not be intentional, but certainly yields most search results relating to the classic text (and so much more) editor)

The first product will be a new and perhaps a bit in the spirit of Monthy Python's "And now for something completely different" (but certainly no joke) headphone amplifier, the EMAC 515SE. And I'm surprised it hasn't generated more interest... yet.

So for now the official home page, with an intriguing knob

Most information can be found on their Facebook page (luckily you don't have to sign in):

Make sure you unfold the "more" bit on the comments that Steve Eddy & Denny Muratovic made starting a couple of days ago.

I won't make a copy-pasta of the whole thing, but it's apparently a new/old design revolving around a step-up transformer and a FETlington-type output stage and to quote them "In my opinion, it truly transcends the whole tubes versus solid state schism and is in a league of its own."

I'm personally very intrigued, and especially also look forward to the design reveal since it promises to be as unique as the underlying technology... The knob seems to indicate a bit of a retro vibe which I'm always on board for

Oh, and to complete the links, there's a Twitter account as well:

UPDATE: Steve recently added a fairly lengthy post on the Facebook page regarding the design of the EMAC 515 SE. It includes not only a first render, but also links to the amplifiers that inspired the design and some of the high-quality components to be used. If you like retro look and a unique electric design, this looks like it would be the one. Just go to the FB page linked above.

Just to liven things up here, I have linked a couple of pictures. If that's not OK, or the links no longer work, I'll gladly remove them, just let me know.

I just spoke with Steve today, and it's really a fancy gas grill regulator. In fact, rumor has it that it's just a rebadge of the following

I didn't realize how old this thread was until after I posted (previous post).  This amp is now selling for the first time on their website, http://www.theaudioguild.com/

See also: https://www.facebook.com/TheAudioGuild/?hc_ref=PAGES_TIMELINE&fref=nf  for the sales posting

There is a much better than average discussion of the design at:

The company sent me the updated schematic which I posted previously.

It's brand new and few if anyone outside the company has heard it.
