I currently own the HE500s but I need to get a pair of closed ear headphones for work. Would the TH900s compliment the HE500s well? I listen to bassy music but also enjoy live recordings of soft rock.

For the money, you couldn't go wrong with a good pair of IEM's and a good DAP.

I haven't been able to find any IEMs that fit me well. I already sold my ALO International so I'm going to focus on my desktop setup.

This is exactly what I have just done, and I feel they compliment each other very well.
 
TH900's at work, HE500's at home.
 
EDM the TH900's are exceptional: Soft Rock I would probably prefer the HE500.

I just put an order in for the alpha dogs. The seem to be getting exceptional reviews. I wonder how the dogs compare with the th600/900s.
