So since my speaker amp/transformer isn't going to work (protection circuit), I ordered a SRM-323S from Elusive Disc. Supposed to be the best Stax amp for the SR-007, plus I should be able to resell it fairly well when the time comes to upgrade.

On that note, if anyone wants a perfectly good SRD-7 energizer with 1 pro 1 normal bias just reconditioned by Spritzer I will bring it along. Can pm me if interested.

Managed to settle my problem with seller on the SR-007 so I'm waiting for return emails from vendors about leather parts. Hopefully I'll have it all replaced before the meet. This thing is disgusting right now.

Got my Emotiva XDA-1 in today and I think it's DOA. Lights up fine, but no sound from the Unbalanced outs. Ugh. Guess I get to truly test their customer service.

It's such a great unit build and looks wise. The remote is like a brick (in a good way). I'd be more than satisfied if it worked.

Depending on how they handle this will decide if I buy my speaker amps from them or not.

EDIT: The unit is now functioning fine. USB drivers are installing properly, outs are functioning. Checked all inputs I possibly could and it works. Not sure what happened, but it work now. Whatever, I'm happy.

Hey gang, any response to my headphone DIY/pad swap question from a couple pages ago?  *listens to crickets chirping*

My revised, probably final list of gear is as follows-

>Fostex T50RP (Thunderpants) (Also I recently bought some STAX SR-007 (O2) earpads which ship today, so if I have them in time I'll bring them along, just in case)
>audio-technica ESW9
>CTH amp & whatever tubes I have (Presently hunting down better ones to bring)
>FiiO E17
>Sony-SCD595 (Wasn't going to bring this, but SACDs now sound positively lovely since acquiring the FiiO E17)
>Small Dell laptop running foobar (Thanks wife's company!)
>Music (FLAC,CD,SACD,LP)
>Wife, foods, adult beverages, table(s), power strips, etc.

Will probably leave these phones unless someone specifically requests hearing them-  Sennheiser HD595, Shure SE530-something (Wife's)

Might as well bring the 595s, how much space do they really take up...? 530s.. only if you have a bunch of tips or plan on cleaning tips all day.

I'd actually like to compare the 595 and my 598. If you'd bring them that'd be great. I can finally answer that question I get asked in threads all the time.
