So I recently got a TEAC UD-301 and connected my PC's USB audio as the source.

The device seems to mute itself when there is no sound coming from my pc, as sometimes I can hear a very faint "pop" when sounds end. I suspect its silence detection isn't working as intended, as occasionally, particularly when listening to commentaries with no background audio (so that the sound is not continuous), the device seems to mute itself for a split second, maybe because the audio level is too low, but definitely not low enough that I cannot hear. It causes an irritating effect.

And other times when I start up a sound, music, for instance, the first split second is muted, and then the previous sounds seem to all burst out at once, mixed with the currently playing sound. It's not a major problem, but definitely an annoyance.

Anyone had similar experiences? And if so what was your solution?
