TEAC HA-P90SD (To be released in Dec, 2014)
Oct 2, 2015 at 11:00 AM Post #211 of 447
I used TEAC HR Player and I created a playlist with all the tracks of an album, I put the playlist into PLAYLISTS and it seems that this way plays the tracks in order.

So 1 playlist for album, is that correct? Not really tricky for is there another way a bit easier/quick?

Yes, that's pretty much it, lets you avoid updating the tags.

Do yo know if the playlists have to be done with TEAC HR Player? I found a guide using Foobar2000 that would simplify the job, but I don't know if it is compatible.

Just to inform that yesterday I used it as dac from PC and not discharged the battery even it charged a little bit.

Playlists are just text files, so it should be possible to edit them with any text editor.  Within the playlist, the actual file name and path are stored referencing the drive letter, but the player ignores the drive letter, and just uses path and filename.

check this out. It seems like a superior Onkyo version of P90SD is coming soon...  It's all black but it has the same interface as Teac P90SD.
It's called "DAC-HA300"

Like the smaller brothers only amp/DAC version, the TEAC/Onkyo are the same device only a few changes in the internals.

The new player with Android from Onkyo that this time co-worked with Pioneer, and both companies have released their own products, basically the same internally but this time the design changes significantly.

I would be really surprised if this new Onkyo will have a price below $800-$900.

It's not superior to P90SD, there is only a single difference from P90SD to HA300, which is:

P90SD uses opamp OPA1602 while HA300 uses opamp Muses8920, It is a straight swap, nothing changes in the implementation.

Which one is a better amp in your opinion?
Why is HA300 priced at $780?
Now, P90SD sells for $450 on ebay.
If you're right, it's hard to understand their price difference.

When can we see HA300 on amazon?? it's supposed to be released in May 2015.

HA300's muses are less expensive than HA90SD's OPA1602.  They do have a slightly different sound signature, rumor has it, Onkyo sounds darker, more full in bass, but with less detail.  As far as which is better - it's a matter of taste.

Pricing-wise, Onkyos are more expensive than TEAC in the US, but in Europe and in Japan, TEAC variants cost more than Onkyo.

HA300 has been available for at least a few months, and in some markets, it was available as pre-order for around $400.

http://www.amazon.com/players-mounted-headphone-amplifier-DAC-HA300/dp/B00XD1A20Q/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1443982286&sr=8-1&keywords=Onkyo+ha300

It's on sale for 800 dollars on Amazon.
That's way too much for this.
Where can I find this for $400?
For $800, I would choose to pay an apartment rent.
