In my teen years I liked symphonies and just about every classical composers. After college I gradually narrowed most of my listening times to chamber music by Beethoven, Brahms and Schubert.

For modern music it hasn't changed much at all, again a very narrow range in Rock (Santana, John Fogerty, Eagles) and Jazz (Coltrane, Stan Getz, Patricia Barber).

But I noticed that I listen to female vocals a lot more with the headphones.
