I have all my music as FLAC.  And I have a converted set as MP3 for portable use.

Is there a tagging software that has the feature of copying the tags from the MP3s and updating the FLACs with the new info?  As it is periodically changed.

I think if you use FLAC->MP3 conversion, the metadata will be preserved. I don't think it works the other way.

Yeah I know.

I add and remove things from the MP3 tags (comments, ratings, last played venue, BPM, etc) when I use them.  I'd like to update the FLACs with that new info every so often.

What system do you use?
Maybe you can write a script to do that automatically. The script can extract the mp3 metadata to a file and use it to update the flac.

If you don't mind doing it manually, you can do this in foobar thusly.
