T-PEOS H-300 - 3 Way Hybrid Impressions and Appreciation Thread

At first I had quite a similar setting as you did but I wanted the least adjustment possible because I don't really want to change the sound signature.

My current EQ setting for DN-2000:
@ 80hz / +1db / Q=1.5
@450hz / -2db / Q=1.5

What I'm after is a tighter/thumpier bass from the DN-2000. I find the settings above meet my requirements without changing the sound signature much.
It's still not at the same quantity as the H-300 but the quality is quite close as far as detail and clarity.

I'll post my EQ settings for H-300 in the morning. I'm at work right now and I don't have access to my EQ settings.

Your C5 with bass boost on doesn't improve the bass for DN2K as much as EQing?

It does for most clean sounding tracks.
But for some it's a bit too much...
I'm guessing the medium bass boost on the C5D might be perfect.

Anywhere between 1.5-4 imo. Anything higher and it starts to sound dark.

I agree, I think -3db - -5db  around there is almost perfect.

I've been tinkering around this morning and to give an example of just how little EQ I need here's a picture.

That's all I really need to make H-300 tame.

Off topic:

Wow, just looked up c5d. Can you use a lightning to usb cable with it?

I was looking for a dac that supported idevices, and I ended up getting the cayin c6. But this one sounds like it has a lower noise floor and also has an eq.

Oh, nevermind then. Anyways, I just received my c6 today! I'm actually fairly impressed. The noise floor is probably about the same as the e18, it's quieter at higher levels though. but it actually charges my iPod! I didn't even know! Wifi seems to cause occassional static, but other than that...it's awesome.

The connector should be called 0.7mm x 2.5mm DC connector.
maybe you would like this cable http://www.ebay.com/itm/Athena-upgrade-cable-for-T-Peos-H-200-H200-/261340670711?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cd91e2af7

 I don't know why T-Peos didn't use a more universal connector

I like these ones but seem expensive and hard to get form t-peos page

For sure, those look awesome I'm getting over braided cables though, they're just a lot more trouble than they're worth and start to look bad when the braiding starts to loosen.

I like how they did it on the Christmas cable that comes with the h-300.

Can some one suggest an AMP for this? DAP like Fiio x3 is preference. I am currently running them from iPhone 5s. I am planning to buy a FiiO E02i Rocky amp to use along with these EIMs. Would that help me to get better sound? Thanks
