Kimvic, my sonus fabers are capable of dropping below 30khz to 28 before roll off kicks in so i know what good bass is... 7550 might be delivering tack sharp, tight and deep bass... But if you ask me i can tell there is something artificial about Sony presentation, something what knocks me off after a 10 min listen.

Well, 7550 should be capable of dropping down to 20hz as well. Tack sharp, tight and deep bass sounds like awesome bass. What part of the presentation do you find artificial? Imaging?

  If sony did you drivers from EX1000 or MDR7550, I'm going to guess that bass of H3 is going to outperform H-200 by a margin. Even 7550 itself beats H-200 in terms of bass. But if you want clarity, I will have to say H-200 is hard to beat.

 
The H3 does possess the liquid crystal polymer coated driver that was used in the EX1000 ( can't remember if that driver was in the 7550). This driver is not in the H1. It may or may not be in the H2 (I think I read on some Japanese site that it is). So the H3 and H2 are suppose earphones called "High-Resolution Audio" earphones. Now, on the Sony Asia site, it only lists the H3 as the earphone with the HRA, so it might just be the H3. I'm certain, however, that the H1 doesn't have the HRA or the liquid crystal polymer dynamic driver. That doesn't mean it doesn't sound good, but the HRA is suppose to take sound to another level with details. And I do remember the EX1000 having tremendous detail, but highs were just too much for my ears.

You should try to 7550 than. Identical bass but less treble than EX1000. The drivers of 7550 are lcp drivers like EX1000 as well.

I owned the 7550. Great mids. I heard the EX1000 when it was on tour. I've heard many earphones better than the 7550 since then, but I agree it is a very good earphone.

Oh. Alright. I agree that 7550 isn't the best iem, but they are decent. It's comfort and ease of use got me to love them.

So for me, I never really got a good fit with the 7550 or EX1000. I mean I would get the fit but it would stay. So I want the H3 but I am worried about the fit. The H-200 fitted me great when I had it.

For me, it's the opposite. 7550 is so comfortable, but H-200 causes some issues.

Well, I must agree with you than. They aren't exceptional when it comes to imaging.

I can confirm that the 2.5mm OD, 0.7mm ID DC connectors I posted before are the correct size that T-PEOS uses. It's the exact same fit. I made a cable out of them to replace my dying stock black cable. I don't have any fancy connector barrels, so heatshrink tubing will have to do.

The whole barrel/cylinder is the ground point.
