T-PEOS Altone350 impressions and Australian review tour thread.

I've just discovered (for myself) that the included Comply tips are crucial for the 350s. Have any of the reviewers tried the 350 with foam tips by any chance?

It was a night and day difference for me..

With the 350 and 150, I experienced driver flex with silicon tips. With Comply tips, no problem... so that's another advantage of the foamies!

Does anybody know a place to buy DC jacks for altone 350 with international shipping? I want to make my own cable, red cable is better than the cable with mic but I really dont like to use a red cable and I want to add memory wire.

I don't know about the jacks but this eBay seller has custom cables for t-peos. Maybe you can ask him to sell you some.

Hey guys. Try them on high gain with foamies if you've got them to tighten up the bass and tame the treble a bit.

@Hisoundfi said it worked well with the A350.

@hakushondaimao confirmed for A350 and said it helped the A250, as well (but not as much as A350).

@Hisoundfi - mentioned trying them with a higher impedance source (to change the frequency response), and switching to high gain
@hakushondaimao - talked about doing the same on his Fiio X3ii - which is only 0.26 ohm.  Raising the gain raises the volume by 5.9 dB - nothing else.  I checked.  I doubt he volume matched when he did comparisons.  They sounded the same to me when matched to within 0.1 dB with my SPL meter.

Perosnally - I don't think switching gain (as long as it is linear) is going to change anyhting.  Impedance might though.

Thanks for chiming in @Brooko. It's an easy test for anyone who's interested...

Agree.  Did you get the chance to try yourself (curious)?  I'll suggest to the others remaining in the Australaian informal tour to have a crack at it and see if it changes anything.  If I had my LP5, I'd try what Vince did - but sadly it won't be back before I have to move these on.

My review posted - I'll get them off to Vic tomorrow.

Shoot - I should hire you. Slap a couple of pics with those six words and it would've saved me quite a few hours of work

CTCs price is $379

With their current short comings , I'd put a more realistic price in the $200-250 bracket
