I have a T&D Xtra-1 Pro, and just recently i notice that if i charge it and dont use it for a week, it needs to be charged again, so i guess the battery is crapping out.

I was going to sell it on here on Head-Fi and i havent gotten any strong bites.
An RSA would have been gone in a few hours.

But now that i notice this, maybe its good i didnt sell it, although its mint in every other way.
So, now the problem is....(just like with every other rechargeable amp and player out there).....Where do i find a 7.4v battery for it? Im assuming its prolly NiMH, but i havent opened it to find out yet.

This is all i can find out about it really....

The second thread gives some info about it.

I think the Xtra-1 Pro, and my C&C Box+ are the last rechargeable amps ill ever buy, for this very reason, because after 2 or so years, youre screwed.
I wish all players and amps had regular batteries you can easily replace.

So anyone with any info? I may have to e-mail China or something.

Next will prolly be a battery for my Box+ , although theyre being sold in China, but not where i got it from.

Ok, i just attempted to open it. I got the front face and knob off, rear face off, i can see the battery inside......but the board is in sooo tight that it seems impossible to slide the thing out to work on it!!!!!!! #&*@&+#%$&!!!!!!!

So even if i had the battery, i dont know how id get it in!!!!
Sure i can use it on an ac adapter, but i have a home amp for that, and better sounding portables too, and a transportable.

Maybe someone at the meet will have an answer. Ill have it with me anyhow.

My thumb??? I used a screwdriver against the side of the board and PUSHED!!!!! Im tellin ya, it wouldnt budge. Im hoping someone at the meet will have an idea. When it finally does come out, im gonna sand the sides down a hair for next time.

If i pushed harder i would have broken it.

I see the battery though. Its like a 9v size but half the thickness.

I prolly need a device similar to a brake-puller.
